Ji-Man Choi (Pittsburgh Pirates) extended his rehab streak to seven games.
Ji-Man Choi of the Indianapolis Indians, Pittsburgh’s Triple-A affiliate, batted third and went 1-for-3 with a walk against the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals) on June 6 (ET) at Victory Field in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
Choi came to the plate with the bases loaded in the bottom of the first inning and drew a straight-up walk against Gordon Grispo. He then walked Miguel Andujar to put runners on first and second with one out, but was stranded when Kenan Smith Njiba grounded out to first base.
Choi entered the game in the bottom of the third with the bases loaded. On a 1S count, he hit a two-pitch at bat to send the ball into the outfield. However, the ball was caught by 토토사이트 순위 right fielder Moises Gomes.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Choi Ji-Man swung hard at the first pitch from Grispo. However, he was thrown out on a fly ball to center field. In the bottom of the eighth, he was retired on a straight hit by the pitcher. Indianapolis was unable to add another run in the bottom of the ninth, falling to 1-4.
Choi did not have a hit in the game, but he did extend his hitting streak to seven games. He hit for Double-A Altoona Curve on April 26 and was promoted to Triple-A on April 29, extending his streak to six games.
In six games with Indianapolis, Choi is batting .348 with a .274 OPS, three home runs, nine RBIs, seven runs scored, five doubles and seven triples. He is expected to return in the second half of the season.
