Jeju United has joined forces with the Jeju Social Enterprise Council to promote Jeju’s sports culture and revitalize the social economy.
The club signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Jeju Social Enterprise Council during halftime of the ‘Hana One Q K League 2023 Round 19’ home match (1-1 draw) against Daejeon Hana Citizens at Jeju World Cup Stadium at 6 p.m. on April 24. Jeju United CEO Koo Chang-yong and Jeju Social Enterprise Council Chairman Ko Jin-seok graced the occasion. Mr. Ko Jin-seok, Chairman of the Jeju Social Enterprise Council, is also the Permanent Representative of the Central Council of Social Enterprises in Korea.
Under the agreement, Jeju will develop close cooperation and communication with the Jeju Social Enterprise Council. They will jointly promote Jeju’s bid for the 2025 Korea Social Economy Expo and co-host the ‘2023 Jeju Social Economy Hanmadang’ at a home game against FC Seoul on September 23. ‘Jeju Social Economy Hanmadang 2023’ is hosted by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and organized by the Jeju Social Economy Alliance (8 organizations). More than 50 social enterprises in Jeju will participate.
The main theme of the home game will be Small Business Day, and the Jeju Social Economy Hanmadang event will be held at the Jeju World Cup Stadium plaza, including social enterprise promotion booths, purchase counseling, startup counseling, and talk concerts, as well as SK smile finance promotions.
