The Korean national soccer team will face off against the Uruguay national team again four months after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. 

The Korea Football Association (KFA) announced on the 13th that a friendly A match against Uruguay will be held on March 28th. At the time of the announcement of the first leg of the A match against Colombai on the 9th, Uruguay was chosen as the partner for the second leg, where the opponent had not been decided.

As a result, the Taegeuk Warriors will play against Colombia (March 24) in Ulsan and Uruguay (March 28) in Seoul during the first A-match period after the new coach took office. 

Korea and Uruguay drew 0-0 after a close match in the first match of the Qatar World Cup group stage last November.

As a result of the group stage, the two teams recorded the same 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss, and even the goal difference was the same, but Korea dramatically advanced to the round of 16 with the most goals, and Uruguay was eliminated.

Uruguay, despite the disappointing World Cup results at the time, is maintaining the coaching system of Diego Alonso.
