Mittwillan scores debut goal in 5-1 win over OMONIA

After scoring his debut goal in the Danish Professional Soccer League, Kyu-sung Cho, 25, has found the back of the net in European competition. Mittwylan advanced to the UEFA Europa Conference League (UCEL) playoffs on the back of the striker’s performance.

Mittwylan defeated OMONIA (Cyprus) 5-1 in the second leg of their 2023-24 UECL Third Qualifying Round tie at the MCH Arena in Henning, Denmark on Monday (October 18).

After losing the first leg 0-1 away from home, Mittwylan entered the second leg at a disadvantage and overcame a 5-2 aggregate deficit to advance to the PO.

Cho Kyu-sung has settled in perfectly in the league, with goals in three consecutive games, including his debut, and three goals in four games. In the UECL, however, he hadn’t scored in three games between the first and second legs of the second qualifier and the first leg of the third qualifier.

Mittwylan took the lead in the 24th minute when Ionis Koutsoulos was sent off, and Cho converted the resulting penalty kick. 토토사이트

Cho fooled the goalkeeper and confidently slotted the ball into the middle of the net. Cho also erased the disappointment of missing a penalty in the fourth round of the league against Vejle BK on April 14.

Mittwylan conceded a 31st-minute equalizer through Andronikos Kakoullis, but the hosts responded with a fiery attacking display that saw Franculino Gluda score a hat-trick and Amin Gigovic add a brace to close out a 5-1 victory.

Hong Hyun-seok’s Gent (Belgium) lost 1-2 in the second leg of their UECL Third Qualifying Round match against Pogon Szczecin (Poland), but still qualified for the PO thanks to a 5-0 win in the first leg.

Hong came on in the 27th minute of the second half and played about 18 minutes.
